    AN-SOF ANTENNA SIMULATOR
---------------------------------------------------

3-Element Inverted V Antenna Array for the 40m Band.

The antenna array consists of a driven element, reflector, and director. The design aims to achieve a directional radiation pattern with maximum radiation at a 30-degree elevation. A 450 Ohm ladder transmission line is used for feeding the driven element.

An inverted V configuration allows for a relatively compact and efficient design. The driven element can be supported by a single mast, while the reflector and director elements can be connected to guy-wires.

The ladder line offers a balanced characteristic impedance and helps reduce common-mode current and radiation. By maintaining a balanced feed, we can minimize unwanted radiation and maximize the antenna's performance.

The gain achieved is 11.5 dBi when the tip of the driven element is positioned at a height of 15 m above a real ground plane with a conductivity of 0.006 S/m and a dielectric constant of 14.

The front-to-side ratio measures 14 dB, indicating a significant reduction in radiation towards the sides of the antenna. This characteristic proves beneficial in minimizing interference and further enhancing the antenna's directivity.

Although near resonance, proper matching is necessary for optimal performance.
